The Coathangers are an all-female punk rock band that emerged from Atlanta, Georgia, embodying the raucous spirit and raw energy of punk's DIY ethos. Formed in 2006, the trio started as a spirited endeavor among friends - Julia Kugel (guitar/vocals), Meredith Franco (bass/vocals), and Stephanie Luke (drums/vocals) - who had little to no musical experience at the time.
