Airis String Quartet

The Airis String Quartet was founded in 2007 (or possibly 2008) by graduates of the Academy of Music in Kraków. The ensemble consists of Aleksandra Czajor on the first violin, Grażyna Zubik on the second violin, Malwina Tkaczyk on the viola, and Mateusz Mańka on the cello. They have honed their skills under the guidance of renowned musicians and ensembles, including the Dafô Quartet and the European Chamber Music Academy. The quartet has achieved significant success, winning several international competitions and receiving prestigious awards. Their repertoire focuses on contemporary music, particularly from the 20th and 21st centuries, and they have collaborated with notable composers like Krzysztof Penderecki.

Airis String Quartet has released several albums, including their debut *Hartmann* in 2018. They are known for premiering works by young composers and have participated in various projects, including film and game music collaborations. The quartet's members also teach at music schools, sharing their expertise with younger generations. Their recent releases include *Anders Koppel: Chamber Music*, *Accosphere*, and *Ginczanka*, showcasing their diverse musical interests.
