Violet Road

Violet Road is an indie folk-pop band hailing from the rugged and picturesque landscapes of Kåfjord in the northern part of Norway. Known for their evocative songwriting and heartfelt performances, Violet Road began their musical journey in 2007. Since then, the band has grown to become one of Norway's cherished musical exports. The ensemble consists of the four Hansen brothers—Håkon, Hogne, Halvard, and Herman—with Kjetil Holmstad-Solberg completing the lineup. They draw inspiration from their Arctic surroundings, infusing their music with both the serenity and the wildness of their homeland.

Their discography showcases a versatile range of influences and an ability to blend storytelling with melody in multiple languages, including English and Norwegian. Some of their most recent releases such as "I Will Love You Anyway" and "Superman" exhibit their ability to craft emotive, anthem-like songs that resonate with a broad audience. Violet Road's "Acoustic Live 2019" album gives fans an intimate experience of their music, highlighting their strengths as live performers. With "Come High | Come Low" and the "Lovers & Liars EP," the band has continued to build upon their lyrical and melodic expertise, maintaining a strong connection with their ever-growing fan base. Violet Road is not just a band, but a narrative of kinship, culture, and the pursuit of musical authenticity.
