Charlotte Haesen is a versatile singer-songwriter born in Amsterdam in 1987, with roots from France, the Netherlands, and Rwanda (or Burundi), and she grew up on the border between French-speaking Belgium and the Netherlands. She honed her craft studying jazz singing at the Amsterdam University of the Arts (and Maastricht Conservatory), and right after graduating in 2011, she dropped her debut album *Salomé*, recorded in a quirky setup in the Belgian Ardennes—vocals in the bathroom, no less.
Known for her authentic vibe, killer timbre, and storytelling across jazz, chanson, folk, and more, Charlotte's snagged cool accolades like the EuJazz Award and the public prize at the 28th Concours de la Chanson Alliance Française, plus props for her videoclips. She's performed in over 15 countries and leads fun projects like the string-tastic Café des Chansons (discovered busking at Noordermarkt!), the chanson-jazz duo Haesen & Breidenbach (check their album *Autour du monde*), and the Limburg Folk Jazz crew GOLEINE with heavy hitters like Mike Roelofs and Philip Breidenbach. Lately, she's touring with GOLEINE and her new solo alt-pop band, with fresh releases like *La Blancheur Des Cygnes* keeping the momentum going.
