Alice Faye was an American singer and actress who rose to fame during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Born Alice Jeanne Leppert in 1915, she began her career as a chorus girl before landing her first major film role in "George White's Scandals" (1934). Faye went on to star in numerous musicals and romantic comedies, including "On the Avenue" (1937), "Alexander's Ragtime Band" (1938), and "Tin Pan Alley" (1940). Her signature songs include "You'll Never Know," "I'm a Dreamer, Aren't We All," and "That Old Feeling." Faye retired from acting in the 1950s and passed away in 1998.
