DOLLAR

Dollar was a British pop duo formed in the late 1970s by David Van Day and Thereza Bazar, both former members of pop group Guys 'n' Dolls. They made a name for themselves in the UK charts throughout the late '70s and early '80s with their catchy synth-pop sound and clean-cut image. Their music combined polished production with hook-heavy melodies, and they frequently collaborated with producer Trevor Horn, who helped craft some of their biggest hits.

Some of Dollar's most successful tracks include "Mirror Mirror (Mon Amour)," "Love's Gotta Hold on Me," and "Give Me Back My Heart," all of which charted in the UK Top 10. Known for their glossy style and vocal harmonies, Dollar became a staple of the early '80s British pop scene, carving out a loyal fan base during their run. Their reworking of the Beatles' "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" and a cover of Erasure's "O L'Amour" also met with chart success, reaffirming their talent for reinventing pop classics with a modern twist.
