Toy Love

Toy Love was a New Zealand punk rock band formed in 1979. The band consisted of Chris Knox (vocals, guitar), Alec Bathgate (guitar), Paul Kean (bass), and Mike Dooley (drums). Toy Love released two studio albums, "Toy Love" (1980) and "Cuts" (1982), before disbanding in 1984. The band's music was characterized by its catchy melodies, energetic performances, and socially conscious lyrics. Toy Love has been cited as an influence on many later New Zealand bands, including The Clean, The Chills, and The Verlaines.
