Sergey Khachatryan

Sergey Khachatryan is an Armenian violinist known for his expressive playing and deep musical interpretations. Born in Yerevan in 1985, he gained international recognition after winning the prestigious International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition in 2000, making him the youngest winner in the competition’s history. He later won the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2005, further cementing his reputation as a world-class soloist. Khachatryan has performed with leading orchestras around the globe and is celebrated for his recordings of composers like Shostakovich, Brahms, and Ysaÿe. His playing is often praised for its emotional depth and technical brilliance, making him one of the most compelling violinists of his generation.
