Dozan Fujiwara

Dozan Fujiwara is a renowned Japanese shakuhachi player, born in 1972 in Tokyo. He began learning the shakuhachi at the age of 10 under the guidance of master Hozan Yamamoto. Fujiwara graduated from Tokyo University of Fine Arts in 1995 and has since been active in both traditional and modern music scenes. He has participated in various international music festivals, including the International Shakuhachi Festival in Boulder, Colorado, in 1998. Fujiwara's musical career is marked by collaborations with Western musicians, creating innovative pieces that blend traditional Japanese sounds with contemporary elements.

Fujiwara's discography includes several albums, such as "Uta," "Yume," "Ichi," and "Kyo," among others.
