Manuel Guillén

Manuel Guillén is a renowned Spanish violinist known for his extensive contributions to Spanish violin music. Born in Madrid, he studied at the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music, where he received awards for his violin and chamber music performances. Guillén has won numerous awards, including the Sarasate Prize, and has premiered over 60 works for solo violin and several violin concertos. He has recorded extensively for various labels and has a strong pedagogical career, having taught at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid and currently holding a professorship at the Superior Conservatory in Zaragoza. Guillén is particularly noted for his expertise in Spanish violin music, having recorded works by notable composers such as Pablo Sarasate, Joaquín Turina, and Joaquín Nin.
