Eric C. Burton, better known as Rabit, is an experimental electronic music producer from Houston, Texas. Emerging in the early 2010s, Rabit initially made waves with his intense, grime-influenced sound, releasing his debut album *Communion* on Tri Angle Records to critical acclaim for its raw and violent sonic textures. His music blends harsh beats and fragmented samples to create a unique and immersive listening experience that has drawn praise for its bold experimental edge. Over time, Burton’s work evolved beyond grime into more abstract and atmospheric realms, exemplified by albums like *Les Fleurs Du Mal* and *What Dreams May Come*, showcasing his adventurous use of circuit-bent synths and generative programming.
Besides his solo output, Rabit gained significant recognition for co-producing "Losss" on Björk’s Grammy-nominated 2017 album *Utopia*. Apart from producing, he runs the independent label Halcyon Veil, fostering forward-thinking electronic music since 2015. With a background deeply rooted in studying the greats of electronic and experimental music, Rabit has carved out a distinctive niche, channeling outsider feelings into compelling, unconventional soundscapes that continually push genre boundaries.
