Gamelan Sekar Jaya is an Indonesian gamelan ensemble that has been performing and recording for over 40 years. The group was founded in 1978 by I Wayan Beratha, a renowned Balinese musician and composer. Sekar Jaya is known for its innovative approach to traditional gamelan music, which incorporates elements of jazz, rock, and other genres. The group has toured extensively throughout the world and has released numerous albums, including "Jagat Anyar (Reissue)", "Bayangan Jiwa", and "Banjar Baru".
