Horrorpops

Horrorpops is a Danish punk band with an infectious blend of punk rock, rockabilly, and new wave influences. Founded in 1996, the band is fronted by the charismatic Patricia Day on upright bass and lead vocals, with guitarist Kim Nekroman and drummer Niedermeier rounding out the core trio. Over the years, their music has captivated audiences with its energetic and distinct sound, characterized by Day's commanding presence and the prominent use of the slapping bass that harks back to rockabilly roots while maintaining a firm footing in punk's raw vitality.

The band made a significant splash in the early 2000s, crafting a niche for themselves with their debut album "Hell Yeah!" in 2004 and solidifying their reputation with the follow-ups "Bring It On!" in 2005 and the stylized "Kiss Kiss Kill Kill" in 2008, which featured an array of songs inspired by cult film visuals and vintage horror aesthetics. With catchy hooks, anthemic choruses, and Day's bold, sultry voice, Horrorpops garnered a devoted fan base and became known for their dynamic live shows, often featuring go-go dancers known as the Horrorpops girls. "Live at the Wiltern," captures the band's live performance energy and celebrates their status as a potent and entertaining live act. After a hiatus, Horrorpops has continued to enjoy a legacy as one of the notable acts in their genre, captivating new and old listeners with their mix of macabre flamboyance and unapologetic punk energy.
