Norma Dream

Norma Dream is the songwriting project of Norma Jean Haynes, a folksinger, banjo player, and wandering musician based in western Massachusetts. Her music is deeply influenced by traditional songs from places she has traveled, including Corsica, Bosnia, England, South Africa, and Appalachia. Norma Dream's work combines a delicate, feather-light voice with the grounded grit of New England, creating a sound that feels both timeless and rooted in contemporary life. Her debut album *Mothers & Daughters* reflects on nature and relationships, while her 2025 release *Mercy Drops* (featuring songs like "Mercy Drops," "Strawberry Wine," and "Africa") captures her experience of a summer spent in Corsica, blending English and French lyrics with traditional folk idioms.
