Thomas Naïm is a versatile French guitarist, composer, and producer who began playing guitar at the age of 12. His musical journey started with rock influences but soon expanded to encompass funk, Brazilian music, reggae, electronic music, and ultimately a deep passion for jazz. After studying at Berklee College of Music and the American School of Modern Music in Paris, he co-founded the duo Tom & Joyce, blending MPB, bossa nova, and jazz, releasing two albums that featured collaborations with notable artists like Tony Allen. Beyond his own projects, Thomas has worked with a broad range of artists across diverse genres, including Hindi Zahra, Mayra Andrade, Tiken Jah Fakoly, and Bob Sinclar, contributing as a guitarist, bassist, composer, and co-arranger. His 2011 quintet album "Dust" showcases his unique synthesis of blues, rock, and modern jazz styles.
