Meirelles is also recognized for his contributions to the Brazilian band BaianaSystem, where he has been involved in live electronics and music production since 2012. Additionally, he collaborated with Jadsa on the experimental project "Taxidermia," which explores a blend of electronic textures and engaging rhythms. João has composed music for various art forms, including body arts, performing arts, cinema, and shows. His recent projects include producing albums like "Sistema Integrado Percussivo" by Japa System and "Olho de Vidro" by Jadsa, which was nominated for Album of the Year by the Multishow 2021 award.

Meirelles' work often blends diverse musical influences, creating a unique sound that defies genre classification. He emphasizes the importance of artistic collaboration and experimentation, often incorporating elements of Brazilian music into his compositions.
