Death In Fiction

Death In Fiction is a melodic death metal band from Augsburg, Germany, founded in the fall of 2020 by Leon Kettemann (drums), Florian Rößle (guitar), and Robin Hartmann (guitar), who all previously played in the band Enraged Monkeys. The band formed during the COVID-19 lockdown as a way to escape boredom, coming together in a rehearsal room for a jam session that blended influences from classic melodic death metal bands like Amon Amarth and Insomnium, as well as melodic black metal and deathcore beats. Their name cleverly references the pandemic-era obsession with hand sanitizer ("Death in Fiction" echoes the German term "Händedesinfektion").

They have released several recent tracks, including *The Great Unknown*, *Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!*, and *Nevermore*. Death In Fiction continues to perform live, with shows scheduled in 2025 and a new album expected that same year, reinforcing their presence in the melodic death metal scene.
