The Allman Betts Band
The Allman Betts Band is a Southern rock group formed by the sons of legends from the Allman Brothers Band. Led by Devon Allman (son of Gregg Allman), Duane Betts (son of Dickey Betts), and Berry Duane Oakley (son of Berry Oakley), the band blends their deep familial roots with a fresh, modern take on the genre. They first came together in 2018 and quickly developed a reputation for soulful, guitar-driven jams and heartfelt songwriting that nods to the past while forging their own path.
Their debut album, Down to the River, dropped in 2019 and set the tone with rich harmonies, bluesy riffs, and stories that feel both personal and timeless. That was followed by their 2020 release, Bless Your Heart, which took things up a notch with sprawling tracks and tight musicianship. Known for their energetic live performances, The Allman Betts Band carries the torch of Southern rock into the future, honoring the legacy of their fathers while adding their own voices to the tradition.
