Sirventes Berlin

**Sirventes Berlin** is a professional vocal ensemble founded in 2003 by conductor Stefan Schuck. The group is dedicated to performing early music for small forces and new a cappella music, often focusing on neglected works from Germany's rich musical heritage. They also provide a platform for new compositions and engage in interdisciplinary projects. The ensemble comprises soloists from prominent choirs such as the Berlin Radio Choir and the RIAS Kammerchor, as well as freelance singers. Since 2008, Sirventes Berlin has been involved in the "NoonSong" project, presenting regular a cappella performances every Saturday at noon in Berlin, which have become a notable part of the city's musical scene.

Stefan Schuck, the artistic director and conductor, has a strong background in church music and conducting. He studied at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and later at the Berlin University of the Arts. Schuck has worked with numerous professional choirs and has received several awards for his cultural contributions. Sirventes Berlin has released several albums, including works by notable composers like Gottfried August Homilius and Joseph Dorfman, showcasing their versatility in both historical and contemporary music.
