Larkin Poe is an American roots rock duo formed by sisters Rebecca Lovell (born January 30, 1991) and Megan Lovell (born May 12, 1989). Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, the band's name pays homage to the sisters' great-great-great-great-grandfather, Larkin Poe, a distant cousin of the writer Edgar Allan Poe. Larkin Poe's music is characterized by its blend of blues, rock, and soul, infused with a southern swagger that is both authentic and revitalizing.
The Lovell sisters began their musical journey as part of the Lovell Sisters band with their older sister, Jessica, but in 2010, they branched off to create Larkin Poe. Over the years, they've carved out a niche for themselves, becoming celebrated for their gritty, soulful vocals, potent slide guitar work, and tightly-woven harmonies. Their latest releases include "An Acoustic Companion" and "Blood Harmony," showcasing their versatility with both stripped-down acoustic interpretations and full-bodied productions. With songs like "Bad Spell," "Southern Comfort," and "Georgia Off My Mind," Larkin Poe continues to push the boundaries of their craft, gaining acclaim from critics and a loyal following worldwide through their innovative music and electrifying performances.
