Bensé

Bensé, born Julien Bensé on April 18, 1980, in Nice, France, is a captivating French singer-songwriter. He grew up in a family of amateur musicians, with his father inclined towards gypsy guitar and his grandfather and uncle playing the accordion and guitar. This early exposure to music led him to seriously pursue the guitar as a teenager. Bensé is known for his folk-rock and chanson française style, drawing inspiration from legends like Neil Young and Cat Stevens.

Bensé began his music career performing in Parisian bars and streets after moving there in 2002. He gained recognition at La Scène Bastille, which led to a contract with Universal Publishing and later with Naïve Records. In 2008, he participated in the Francofolies festival, where he won the Adami prize, marking a significant milestone in his career. His recent releases include "L'Odyssée," "Après le printemps," and "Chante l'amour (Et la haine)". Through his heartfelt lyrics and captivating sounds, Bensé has established himself as a prominent figure in the French rock scene.
