Zamballarana

Zamballarana is a musical group formed in 1997, emerging from the "Casa Musicale" of Pigna, Corsica. The group brings together singers and musicians with diverse musical backgrounds, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere in their performances. They have released several albums, including "Lucia," "Luna," "Camina," "Carnavale," and a self-titled album. Zamballarana has gained international experience, performing in countries like France, Hungary, Italy, and Austria. Their music often incorporates traditional elements, such as the ancient Corsican text "U serenade di scapinu," written by Salvatore Viale in 1890. The group's lively spirit and blend of musical influences make them a unique part of the Corsican cultural scene.

Their recent releases reflect a continued exploration of festive and traditional themes, with "Carnavale" being released in 2015. The group's members include Nicolas Debelle on bass guitar, Laurent Barbolosi as a singer and violinist, Jérôme Casalonga on vocals and bass, Jacques Nobili on trombone, Anton Giulo Galeandro on accordion, and Vincent Geraldi on drums and balafon.
