Armor For Sleep emerged on the emo and post-hardcore scene in the early 2000s, carving out a space for themselves with their evocative lyrics and atmospheric sound. The band, formed in New Jersey, originally consisted of Ben Jorgensen as the lead vocalist and guitarist, PJ DeCicco on guitar, Anthony DiIonno on bass, and Nash Breen on drums. They released their debut album, "Dream to Make Believe," in 2003, which set the precedent for their earnest and introspective musical style.
The group garnered a dedicated following with their 2005 concept album, "What To Do When You Are Dead," an ambitious and narrative-driven work that explored themes of life, death, and what lies in between, solidifying their place in the alternative music zeitgeist. The album's compelling storytelling and catchy yet deep melodies captured the hearts of a generation grappling with similar existential questions. Although Armor For Sleep disbanded in 2009 following the release of "Smile For Them," they briefly reunited for anniversary shows and released a few singles like "Williamsburg," displaying the enduring nature of both their music and their fanbase. Their most recent release "The Rain Museum" is highly anticipated by fans who have remained loyal throughout the years.
