Wild Gloriosa

Wild Gloriosa is the soulful solo project of Gloria Ragesh, a Geelong-based singer-songwriter with deep South Indian and Singaporean roots. Her music blends smooth R&B, neo-soul, and jazz influences, drawing inspiration from old-school soul legends like Bill Withers as well as contemporary artists such as Yebba and Lianne La Havas. Named after the Tamil Nadu state flower, Gloriosa, her stage name reflects her connection to her heritage and her desire to grow freely as an artist. Known for her rich, velvety voice and heartfelt songwriting, Wild Gloriosa explores themes of self-discovery, love, and life's complexities through prayerful and seductive melodies.

With a background in classical piano from childhood, Gloria channels her broad musical upbringing and personal experiences into crafting songs that resonate deeply with her audience. Her debut EP, *Growing Pains*, released in 2025, showcases her talent for weaving emotive stories with smooth instrumentation provided by collaborators like Jake Amy and Anthony Liddell. Having performed at notable events such as the Melbourne International Jazz Festival and supported acts like Bumpy and Stevie Jean, Wild Gloriosa is considered one of Geelong’s most promising emerging artists, celebrated for both her captivating stage presence and authentic sound.
