Woody Platt

Woody Platt is a renowned musician, best known as a founding member of the Grammy award-winning bluegrass band Steep Canyon Rangers. After spending over 20 years with the band, Platt retired in 2022 to focus on solo projects. His debut album, *Far Away With You*, released in 2024, marks a significant step into his solo career. The album features collaborations with notable artists like Del McCoury, Tim O'Brien, Sam Bush, and Darrell Scott, showcasing Platt's ability to reinterpret songs from various genres within a bluegrass framework. Platt's music is deeply influenced by his roots in Western North Carolina, and he has been praised for his silken voice and bluegrass soul by none other than Steve Martin.
