Gil Evans

Gil Evans was an American jazz arranger, composer, and pianist. He is best known for his work with the Miles Davis Orchestra, particularly on the album "Sketches of Spain." Evans's arrangements were often complex and sophisticated, and he was a master of blending different musical styles. He also worked with other jazz greats such as Stan Getz, Chet Baker, and Gerry Mulligan. Evans's music continues to be influential today, and he is considered one of the most important figures in jazz history.
