United Progressive Fraternity

United Progressive Fraternity (UPF) is an international collaborative music project known for its environmentally conscious themes and its fusion of progressive rock, folk, and classical influences. The brainchild of former Unitopia frontman Mark Trueack, the band was formed in the aftermath of Unitopia's dissolution in 2013. UPF not only picked up the progressive legacy of its predecessor but also ventured further into socially and ecologically reflective territories. The band comprises a rotating lineup of seasoned musicians from various countries, endorsing a global effort to inspire change through the medium of music.

Their discography, rich with thematic ambition and musical intricacy, includes the conceptually linked albums "Planetary Overload Part 1: Loss" and "Planetary Overload Part 2: Hope," which explore the repercussions of humanity's environmental decisions and offer a narrative of possible redemption and transformation. These works are marked by their poignant lyrics, complex compositions, and a sense of urgency about the state of the world. The band's debut project, "Fall in Love with the World," serves as an excellent primer to their sound and mission, characterized by intricate arrangements and lush, layered textures, capturing the attention of progressive rock enthusiasts who crave substance and depth in both music and lyrics. UPF's commitment to addressing global issues through art places them in a unique position within the music world, as they continue to meld genres and gather musicians in their quest for awareness and positive change.
