The Graviators

The Graviators were a Swedish doom metal and heavy rock band known for their riff-oriented music, atmospheric depth, and a vintage sound that echoed the heavy hitters of the '70s. Formed in 2009, the group made a significant impact on the underground metal scene, channeling influences from legendary acts like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Pentagram. Their self-titled debut, "The Graviators," released in 2009, introduced them as a formidable force, steeped in the tradition of doom but with a fresh, modern take that quickly garnered them a dedicated following.

Progressing through their discography, The Graviators continued to hone their sound, culminating in a trio of well-received releases. "Evil Deeds," which surfaced in 2012, secured their reputation for crafting compelling, hard-hitting rock with an occult vibe. The band's affinity for powerful rhythms and haunting melodies was further exemplified in their third full-length album "Motherload," released in 2014. Not only did this release see them refining their musical prowess, it also showcased their ability to create a seamlessly immersive listening experience. Despite their momentum, the band remained an enigmatic presence in the heavy music scene, even after their collaborative split with Brutus in 2013 and their release of the single "Häxagram" in 2015. Their seemingly abrupt silence has left fans eagerly awaiting a return, with the hope that The Graviators will once again rise to conjure their distinctive sonic alchemy.
