Toshihiko Takamizawa is a Japanese rock musician best known as the guitarist, vocalist, and leader of the long-running band THE ALFEE. Born in 1954 in Warabi, Saitama, Takamizawa helped form THE ALFEE (originally called Alfie) in the early 1970s while attending university. The band has been active for over 40 years without any breakups or hiatuses, making them one of Japan's most enduring rock acts.
In addition to his work with THE ALFEE, Takamizawa launched a solo career in 1991 under the name Takamiy. He's known for his impressive collection of custom guitars and has released several solo albums over the years, exploring styles ranging from rock to more experimental sounds. Takamizawa has also composed music for TV shows and is recognized as an influential figure in Japanese rock music.
