Kintsukuroi - 金繕い

Kintsukuroi (金繕い), an Italian band whose name draws from the Japanese art of “golden repair,” blends elements of depressive black metal and post-black metal. The group’s name and aesthetic evoke the philosophy of embracing damage and repair as part of an object’s—or perhaps a life’s—history, which is mirrored in both their creative approach and thematic focus. Since at least 2020, the core lineup has included B.G. on guitars and keyboards and R.F. Sinister handling vocals and bass; the latter is also associated with several other bands in the scene.
