Niacin

Niacin is a powerhouse progressive rock/fusion trio that merges the muscular impact of rock with the intricate sophistication of jazz. Formed in the early 1990s, the band's name is derived from the shared nickname for vitamin B3, a nod to the trio's energetic and organic chemistry. Niacin's core lineup features the keyboard wizardry of John Novello, the percussive mastery of Dennis Chambers, and the bass virtuosity of Billy Sheehan, each player an accomplished musician in their own right with an extensive career in the music industry.

Despite the complexity of their music, Niacin appeals to a wide range of listeners, offering an adrenaline rush to rock aficionados and a depth of technique to jazz purists. Their self-titled debut album "Niacin" released in 1997, set the stage for their signature sound, characterized by relentless grooves and blistering solos. Following it up with albums like "High Bias" (1998) and "Deep" (2000), the band cemented its reputation for pushing the boundaries of instrumental music. With their later works such as "Time Crunch" (2001), "Niacin Live! Blood Sweat and Beers" (2003), "Organik" (2005), and "Krush" (2013), Niacin continued to refine their ambitious blend of progressive rhythms and full-throttle jam sessions, showcasing their unparalleled chemistry and establishing a lasting legacy in the annals of progressive fusion music.
