One Bad Pig

One Bad Pig is an American Christian punk and metal band that hails from Austin, Texas, and was formed in 1985. The band is known for fusing the energy and ethos of punk rock with overtly Christian themes, creating a unique subgenre sometimes referred to as Christian punk. They quickly became a touchstone in the Christian music scene for their bold lyrics and energetic live shows. With a lineup that includes lead vocalist Carey "Kosher" Womack, guitarist Paul Q-Pek, bassist Daniel Tucek, and drummer Paul Roraback, the group carved out a niche for themselves amidst the burgeoning punk and metal movements of the time.

Known for their humorous stage antics and ecclectic musical style, One Bad Pig gained a following both within and outside of Christian music circles. Their discography includes a variety of albums such as "I Scream Sunday" and the creatively titled "Swine Flew," showcasing their ability to blend punk sensibilities with a variety of other genres, from thrash to hard rock. Their 2016 release "Love You to Death" served as a comeback project after a significant period of inactivity, reaffirming their commitment to their music and message. Live albums like "Live - Blow the House Down!" capture the essence of their raucous and engaging performances. Though they may not have achieved mainstream success, One Bad Pig remains a notable and influential presence in Christian rock, celebrated for their distinctive sound and their unabashed approach to faith-based music.
