Tripping Daisy

Tripping Daisy was an alternative rock band formed in Dallas, Texas in the early 1990s. The group quickly became notable in the alternative music scene with their neo-psychedelic sound and energetic live performances. Their distinct blend of pop melodies with a more off-kilter rock twist was well received by a growing fan base. Tripping Daisy's lineup featured frontman Tim DeLaughter, guitarists Wes Berggren and Philip Karnats, bassist Mark Pirro, and drummer Benjamin Curtis over various points in their career.

The band's body of work includes several critically acclaimed albums, with "Bill" marking their debut in 1992. They broke through to wider recognition with "I Am An Elastic Firecracker" in 1995, which featured the hit single "I Got a Girl," showcasing their quirky and vivid style. They followed this success with the innovative and complex "Jesus Hits Like The Atom Bomb" in 1998. Sadly, the band's thriving creative journey was cut short by the untimely death of guitarist Wes Berggren in 1999, which eventually led to the band’s dissolution. Their final self-titled album, "Tripping Daisy," was released posthumously in 2000, serving as a capstone to their brief but impactful musical legacy. Despite their relatively short time in the spotlight, Tripping Daisy's influence can be felt through their contribution to the '90s rock landscape and their enduring cult following.
