US Army Field Band and Soldiers' Chorus

The United States Army Field Band and Soldiers' Chorus are among the premier musical ensembles within the military, serving as ambassadors of goodwill through their music across the nation and internationally. Established in 1946 and stationed at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, the US Army Field Band's primary mission is to bring the story of the Army and its soldiers to the general public. Comprising both the Concert Band and the Soldiers' Chorus, the ensemble performs a rich variety of music, ranging from orchestral masterpieces to operatic arias and from Sousa marches to modern jazz.

With a commitment to excellence and a repertoire designed to inspire patriotism and service, the US Army Field Band and Soldiers' Chorus are known for their touring performances throughout the United States and abroad, often referred to as "The Musical Ambassadors of the Army." Their performances not only acknowledge the contributions of those who have served but also reach out to communities with educational outreach and public concerts. Their body of work includes impressive projects that honor influential musical figures, such as “The Legacy of Nadia Boulanger,” “The Legacy of Aaron Copland,” and “The Legacy of Randall Thompson,” reinforcing the ensembles’ dedication to preserving and promoting America's rich musical heritage.
