Max Bien Kahn was an American songwriter and pianist who lived from 1880 to 1949. He is best known for writing the lyrics to the song "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling," which became a popular standard. Kahn also wrote the lyrics to many other songs, including "My Buddy," "Toot, Toot, Tootsie (Goodbye)," and "I Wish I Could Shimmy Like My Sister Kate." He was a prolific songwriter, and his songs have been recorded by many artists over the years.
