Ingrid Fliter

Ingrid Fliter is an esteemed Argentinian classical pianist, widely recognized for her profound and passionate interpretations, particularly of the works of Frédéric Chopin. Born in Buenos Aires in 1973, Fliter began her piano studies at a very young age and her talents soon became apparent. She moved to Europe to continue her studies at the renowned Freiburger Musikschule in Germany and later at the Piano Academy in Imola, Italy, under the guidance of Franco Scala and Zoltán Kocsis among others. Her international breakthrough came in 2006 when she was awarded the prestigious Gilmore Artist Award, which recognizes extraordinary pianists who possess broad and profound musicianship.

Fliter has since established a formidable reputation as a leading interpreter of Chopin's music, as evidenced by her extensive discography that places a particular emphasis on the Polish composer's repertoire. Her recordings, such as "Chopin: Nocturnes," "Chopin: Preludes," "Chopin: Complete Waltzes," and "Chopin: Piano Concertos," have earned critical acclaim for their technical excellence and deeply emotive qualities. Beyond Chopin, Fliter extends her mastery to a range of composers, with celebrated performances of Schumann, Mendelssohn, and Beethoven, including her compelling renditions of Beethoven's Piano Sonatas No. 8 "Pathétique," No. 17 "The Tempest," and No. 23 "Appassionata." Her enduring commitment to the Romantic piano repertoire has captivated audiences and cemented her position as a luminary within the classical music community.
