Cavallini & Shrty is a Helsinki-based hip-hop duo known for blending R&B, Afro, and melodic trap into their music. Active from 2016 to 2021, they gained recognition with hits like "16v," which featured Gettomasa. The duo released several EPs, including "Afro finska" and "Vaihost sisää," before dropping their debut album "10/10" in February 2020. Their music often incorporates Finnish lyrics, reflecting their cultural roots. However, the duo's career was marked by legal issues, with one of the members, Mohamud Yahue Mahdi (also known as Cavallini), facing serious charges related to violent crimes and eventually receiving a prison sentence. Despite these challenges, Cavallini & Shrty left a notable mark on the Finnish hip-hop scene during their active years.
