Back Door Slam
Back Door Slam was a blues-rock band formed on the Isle of Man, fronted by singer, guitarist, and songwriter Davy Knowles. The band started gaining attention in the mid-2000s for their energetic live performances and vintage blues-influenced sound, reminiscent of classic British blues acts but with a modern edge. Their debut album, Roll Away, released in 2007, showcased Knowles’ soulful voice and guitar chops, solidifying the group’s spot in the blues-rock revival scene.
Following lineup changes and extensive touring, including opening slots with legendary acts, Knowles eventually continued under his own name, with much of the musical style and spirit of Back Door Slam remaining intact. The band's legacy lives on through their passionate fanbase and well-regarded recordings.
