Kevin Bowyer

Kevin Bowyer is a renowned British organist known for his incredible technical skill and diverse repertoire. He's especially celebrated for tackling some of the most complex and demanding organ music ever written, including the works of Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji and other contemporary composers. Bowyer has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on the organ, often premiering pieces that other performers shy away from.

Over his career, Bowyer has recorded extensively, with hundreds of CDs to his name that cover a wide range of composers from Bach to modern avant-garde figures. He has a long-standing connection with the University of Glasgow and the Music Department at the University of St Andrews, and has served as Organist to the University of Glasgow’s Memorial Chapel. Whether he’s performing monumental symphonic works or championing new organ music, Bowyer’s fearless approach and deep musicality make him a standout figure in the world of classical organ music.
