Typhus

Typhus is a Greek speed/thrash metal band from Athens, formed in 2019 (initially under the name Nuclear Terror in 2009). They are known for their fast-paced, aggressive sound blending classic thrash metal intensity with elements of heavy and speed metal. Their debut album, *Mass Produced Perfection*, was released in 2020, followed by their highly praised second album *Fate Weaver* in 2025, which includes popular tracks like “Only Ashes Remain” and “I Stand Defiant.” The band’s sound will appeal to fans of Metallica, Megadeth, and Testament, combining heavy riffs with occult and fantasy themes.

The core lineup features Kostas Korg on vocals and bass, Kostas Foukarakis on guitars and backing vocals, Dimitris Ginis on drums, and Stefanos on guitars and backing vocals since 2022. Typhus continues to build their reputation in the underground metal scene with their aggressive style and thematic depth, reflecting both menace and energy in their music.
