Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise is a Filipino alternative rock band formed in 2002, known for their heartfelt lyrics and catchy melodies that blend rock, pop, and emo influences. The band rose to fame after winning the 2004 Red Horse Muziklaban, a national amateur band competition in the Philippines. They scored a major hit with the single "Jopay," a touching song that became a staple of the OPM (Original Pilipino Music) scene. Fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist Monty Macalino, Mayonnaise has undergone a few lineup changes over the years but continues to maintain a strong fanbase.

Over the decades, Mayonnaise has released a string of full-length albums and EPs, showcasing their versatility and staying power in the ever-evolving music landscape. They've built a reputation for penning emotionally resonant tracks like “Bakit Part 2,” “Tayo Na Lang Dalawa,” and the viral resurgence of "Jopay," thanks to TikTok and pop culture references. Whether they're delivering passionate ballads or gritty alt-rock anthems, Mayonnaise continues to be a beloved fixture in the Philippine music scene.
