Jairo Pereira is a singer, actor, and poet, best known as one of the founding members and lead vocalists of the band Aláfia. He started his music career in 1994 and at age 40, he released his first solo album titled "Mutum," which blends reggae, jazz, hip hop, rock, and poetry. The album was inspired by the geographer Milton Santos and reflects on focusing on the present to create a better future. Jairo has also collaborated with other artists, such as DJ Mari Rossi, on tracks like "Danza" and "Daquilo."
Jairo's recent work includes a variety of releases like "Colo Cura," "Monocromático," and live performances captured in "Jairo Pereira No Estúdio Showlivre (Ao Vivo)." His music often explores themes of social awareness and personal growth, drawing from his diverse musical influences.
