Jolie Laide

Jolie Laide is an American-Canadian rock band formed in 2020 by American singer-songwriter Nina Nastasia and Canadian musician Jeff MacLeod. The band's origins began as a long-distance collaboration during the COVID-19 pandemic, with MacLeod sending instrumental tracks to Nastasia. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2023 via Oscar St. Records, features a blend of classic California ballads and cinematic sounds. The album includes contributions from Clinton St. John, who provided vocals on one track, and Morgan Greenwood, who joined the band for live performances. In 2025, Jolie Laide expanded to include St. John and Greenwood as official members, leading to the release of their second album, *Creatures*, on Victory Pool Records. This album marks a significant shift in their sound, with every song featuring duet vocals between Nastasia and St. John, and electronic elements introduced by Greenwood. Their recent releases include singles like "No Shape I Know," which showcases this new collaborative direction.
