Pat Monahan

Pat Monahan is the lead singer and primary songwriter for the band Train. He's known for his soulful vocals and heartfelt lyrics that often explore themes of love, loss, and redemption. Monahan's music has resonated with audiences worldwide, earning him numerous awards and accolades, including multiple Grammy nominations.

Before forming Train, Monahan was a member of several other bands, including Rogues Gallery and The Laundry Room. He eventually left those groups to pursue a solo career, but it wasn't until he joined forces with Jimmy Stafford and Rob Hotchkiss that Train was born. The band's debut album, "Train," was released in 1998 and featured the hit single "Meet Virginia." Since then, Train has released several more successful albums, including "Drops of Jupiter" (2001), "My Private Nation" (2003), and "Save Me, San Francisco" (2009).
