PSOTY

PSOTY, originally known as Pet Slimmers of the Year, is an English post-metal/post-rock band from Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. Formed in January 2008 by Scott Gowan (guitar, vocals), Steve McKenna (bass guitar), and Dale Vinten (drums), the band later added Adrian Lawson as a second guitarist in October 2016. Their music career includes notable releases such as the EPs *Why Won't You Die*, *Pet Slimmers of the Year*, and *...And the Sky Fell*. They have also released two full-length albums: *Fragments of Uniforms* in 2013 and *Sunless* in 2019. The latter album was preceded by singles like "Oil Blood" and "King of Ephyra".

PSOTY's journey has seen them sign with prominent labels such as Candlelight Records and later Spinefarm Records and Universal Music Group. Despite their active discography, the band's live performances have been limited, particularly due to geographical challenges and the COVID-19 pandemic. Their most recent live event was in December 2019, and since then, the band has been on hold. PSOTY's music often explores the realms of post-metal and post-rock, offering a unique blend of atmospheric and heavy sounds.
