Cliff Waddell is a country music singer and songwriter from Raleigh, NC, now based in Nashville. He grew up surrounded by traditional country music and bluegrass, which heavily influenced his passion for performing and songwriting. His musical journey began with attending bluegrass festivals as a child, where his father, a guitar player and singer, would often perform. Waddell's career took off with the release of his first Christian country album in 2016, featuring singles like "The Church Pew" and "That's What I Keep My Bible For." He has since released an EP titled "A Six Pack and a Sunday" in 2022 and is currently working on new music, including his latest single "Drinking On An Empty Heart." His influences include country legends like Alan Jackson, Tracy Lawrence, and George Strait.
Waddell's songwriting process often starts with an idea or hook, which he develops into full songs, sometimes collaborating with other writers to expand his creative scope. He has been nominated for awards such as the 2018 ICGMA Male Horizon Vocalist of the Year. With a strong background in country music and a growing presence in the industry, Cliff Waddell continues to tour and release new music, blending traditional country sounds with modern storytelling.
