American Aquarium is an alternative country band originally formed in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2006. The band derives its name from a Wilco song, "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart," and has been led through a rotating cast of talented musicians by the steadfast singer-songwriter and frontman BJ Barham.
