Harsh Narayan

Harsh Narayan is a renowned Indian sarangi player based in Mumbai. Born in 1985, he comes from a rich musical lineage, being the grandson and disciple of the legendary sarangi player Pandit Ram Narayan, who is credited with popularizing the sarangi in Indian classical music. Harsh's father is Brij Narayan, a skilled sarod player. He began his musical journey under his grandfather's guidance at the age of six. Harsh has performed at notable events, including the 57th Sawai Gandharva music festival alongside his grandfather. His discography includes albums like "Scintillating Sarangi" (2016) and "Dhanurvadya" (2020), a collaboration with Ty Burhoe.

Harsh Narayan's music reflects his deep roots in Hindustani classical tradition, showcasing his mastery over the sarangi. His recent releases highlight his versatility and skill in interpreting various ragas, such as "Raag Chandrakauns" and "Kafi Malhar."
