Emanon

Emanon is a hip-hop duo from Orange County, California, made up of rapper and singer Aloe Blacc and producer Exile. Formed in 1995, they've been creating smooth, underground hip-hop that blends thoughtful lyrics with soulful beats. Over the years, they’ve put out several projects, including their debut album *Imaginary Friends* (1996), the EP *Anon & On* (2002), and the well-regarded album *The Waiting Room* (2005). Their 2016 album *Dystopia* continued to showcase their skills, mixing insightful storytelling with dynamic production. Emanon’s sound is a great example of California hip-hop's laid-back, soulful vibe combined with sharp lyricism, and both members have found success in their solo careers as well, particularly Aloe Blacc.
