Planningtorock is the alias of Jam Rostron, a Berlin-based musician, producer, and visual artist known for their genre-blurring electronic music and distinctive, androgynous vocal manipulations. Originally from Bolton, England, Rostron has built a career on their politically charged, avant-garde take on dance and pop music, tackling themes of gender identity, queerness, and social justice. Since debuting in the mid-2000s, Planningtorock has released a string of critically-acclaimed albums, collaborated with artists like The Knife and Peaches, and produced remixes and reworks that continue to push the boundaries of electronic music.
